JAMMU, FEBRUARY 25 (KNO) : Secretary School Education Farooq Ahmad Shah has said that good and proper Education plays a great role in shaping our future and every individual and society is duty bound to make their effort in promoting the atmosphere of better education.

He said that we cannot ignore the importance of Education in our life at any cost and that the education is the key to solve all the social, personal and professional problems of the people. Secretary expressed these views during the conduct of “Young Brains interschool health quiz competition” held in Teacher’s Bhawan Jammu organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, Katra Jammu. On the occasion, he said that education helps us to be healthy, save lives, boost economic growth, earn money, promote peace in the society, promote human rights, bring good governance, remove corruption and make people aware about their Fundamental Rights. Shah also said that good Education does not mean to study hard and get results; but it is to conquer new things for the betterment of whole mankind. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has played a tremendous role in upliftment of Education Sector.

The increasing number of schools and colleges especially in Jammu stands testament to the promotion of quality Education, he maintained and also expressed that since the establishment of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Jammu, it has become the epicentre of quality Education and the day is not far that J&K would be recognized as hub of world class Education system. Secretary school Education also added that our Education centres should be the torch bearers for achieving the futuristic objective in the field of knowledge and it is the duty of such Institutions whether in the field of Education, medicine or any other discipline that our Human resources should be utilized to its full potential of becoming the world class standard. He expressed that Jammu is also prospering in the field of healthcare and medicine and we should promote it all over India as well as abroad so that the world knows that our healthcare system is no less to any other. At the end he said that we could harness such facilities in creating medical tourism in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

The function regarding the conduct of Interschool health quiz competition was attended by near about 300 students of different schools of Jammu. On this occasion some of the officers from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital and other officers from School Education Department were also present.(KNO)
